Last day!

Thursday was the final day for the children in 3B. They started the day with a lovely merit assembly in which many children received merits for consistent good work and behaviour. Four children got special awards for the amount of progress made in Year 3 and Mrs Bell gave the teacher's award to Mitchell and Brenton, wishing them luck in their new schools.

The assembly was also for saying good bye to Mr Coles who retired after many happy years of teaching, welcome to teaching to Mrs Shaw who qualified as a teacher and good luck to Miss Tyler for her wedding and Mrs Love who is expecting her baby in September. It was a busy assembly.

All the juniors then got an extra playtime as well as refreshing ice-creams. The weather, luckily was sunny and warm. Everybody enjoyed the ice-creams, some wished they could have them more often!

Mrs Bell spent some time putting things in boxes ready for moving day on Friday whilst the children enjoyed each other's company. In the afternoon they watched a DVD before having ANOTHER playtime. Soon it was time to say, 'good luck' to Mitchell and Brenton and 'Bye' to everyone !

Mrs Bell thanked the class for being such a wonderful class to teach. She was touched by the many generous presents and cards she received. Her favourite rewards, however are the brilliant pieces of work the class have produced over the year.

She will remember many special events with pleasure. This year the class have been involved in Family Learning, including a first ever Residential Family learning weekend, we have helped with 3 parents meetings - Maths, Building Learning Power and Learning styles! And we have had a first ever class BLOG! It's been an exciting year, but we all need a holiday now.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone!

Hi, Maham and Suman, just happened to look at the Blog and noticed you had written! How lolvely that you still look - like me I expect it reminds you of the time we spent in Y3. I am fine and it,s great seeing your mum Maham. She is a wonderful help to me as I have SO many boys in the class! I like teaching Year 4 though I have to teach myself a lot of things first. last week we used thermometers in Science and I wasn't sure about them I tested one by putting it in my hot tea! I soon learned.
Glad you enjoy Mrs Parker - she has a great sense of humour. Keep having fun.

Maham, I hope you are having a good holiday and managed to go to Alton Towers or Adventure Land. Have you been to the Alton Towers water park? It's really good fun and very reasonable in cost. My sons loved going there when they were younger.
Hope your borther enjoys his birthday - how nice that you are going to paly the tune for him. Good luck!
I have been to Las Vegas, a place for adults only as children would find a lot of things boring! I had a great time with two friends I made when I was at college learning to be a teacher. That was MANY years ago!

To Mrs Bell,

THANX for the thoughtful message!

The parts i liked the most were ... my first ever roller coaster called thunder mountain:- it went in dark tunnels and had really speedy drops, the fireworks in the 15th anniversary parade at night were the 2nd best:- they really beautiful and awsome!!! and my 3rd fav part at disney land was the Finding Nemo rollercoaster type of ride called Crush's Coaster:- it was really scary but fun for me because i was sitting in the back seat with my sister and when the viechle we were sitting in was going up for a drop me & my sister were going foward and it squeeeeezzzzzzzed our tummies!

I really had alottt of fun on all the rides i went on!

The weather was soooooo hot, i felt like a ROAST TURKEY!!!!!!!!!!! i was wearing no sleeved tops and shorts but i was still BOILING HOT like a ROAST TURKEY!!!!!!!!!!

At the shops i got a Mickey Mouse key ring.

We also went for a tour around Paris! we went to the grand arche, Notre Damn and .......

THE EIFFEL TOWER! we only went up the 2nd floor because the 3rd floor was closed!!!;d from the Eiffel tower suvineur shop i got a pink eiffel tower key ring!

Hope you have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidosious time in Austria!

Maham, I found your comments very interesting - you obviously had a wonderful time at Disney. I am so pleased for you. I must admit I like roller coasters and we went on the Thunder Mountain in Florida - it was FANTASTIC! Disney brings out the 'kid' in adults and is a lot of fun. Hope your parents also enjoyed themselves.
The fireworks just end the day beautifully.
Austria was very beautiful and we had a lot of fun. Our older son stayed at home and I was a little worried about him, but everything was fine.
Enjoy the last week. I have to think about work this week and will pop into school for two days.
Take care, maham.

we went to another auntie's house and as a present I got a game called 'EMERGENCY ROOM!', and then on Wednesday i went to my friend's house where my other friend came and finaly on thursday we went to another auntie's house and i got £10 and that's it!

"I'm a big sister now, I'll have to be really mature in the things I do! The baby is obviously going to be annoying when he's a toddler (especially that he's a boy!!!)"

Hi Mrs Bell,
I hope you get well soon!

On the first week of the easter holidays (in 2 days) i am goin to my cousin's house it is oing to be very fun because they are some of my favourite cousins! In the 2nd week might be going to Suman's house because i haven't been round her's for a while.

On Saturday we are going to an engagement party and lots of my friends are going to be there.

I like the clothes i am going to wear because i think they are nice and pretty.

Hi, maham, I hope the Easter holidays went well - they seem so long ago now! My trip to New York was wonderful, even got to see my sister and her husband and son for a meal! There was lots to see and so, and we took a bus tour to Niagara Falls and Boston. Great place to go when you are as old as me!
I expect you will be busy at school. The summer term is fun but frantic, even worse for Y6 as SATs are in week beginning 11th May! My class seem to be doing well though. So it's fingers crossed and hope they do the very best (and a bit more) on the day!
Have fun this term.

To mrs Bell, it was nice to hear howmuch you enjoyed New York. I want to goto America myself as i have never been there before! Some of my cousins live there.

At school we are doing practice tests in Maths and English. I think i need to work harder in maths because in English i got a level 5 and in maths i want at least level 4B.

Hi, Emily, I hope you have noticed the new part I have added to the Blog. There is a message in it for you. Hope you are recovering from your great-nan's death and remembering her for all the memories she left behind.
It's good to see the sun out during half term. Enjoy your self. Congatulations to your parents on their marriage.
