3B returned from their Easter holidays on a beautifully sunny morning. Everybody seemed to have grown taller and there were lots of chatty children catching up on news with their friends.Mrs Bell and Miss Painter were pleased to see the class but explained that this was the final term in Year 3. Everyone is expected to work hard, behave well and knuckle down to all the new topics for this term.
We are learning about Electricity in Science, Sculpture in Art, India in geography and cricket in games. Swimming will start again next week.
In the picture on the right, two boys show how their bodies can be used to show a sculpture. On the lesft you see a group working well together.
It was fun working in pairs or groups for this art work.
Mrs Bell was on a course on Tuesday but she turned up just to meet a new boy who has taken Dillon's place in class. His name is Nathan Adams and he was nervous on Tuesday. However, he has not stopped smiling since he arrived. Mrs Bell and Miss Painter are very pleased with the way the class have helped him to settle down. Nathan himself is a mature boy who is making every effort to work hard and get to know all the children. He thinks 3B are noisier than his last class! Mrs Bell will have to sort this out!
