Mothering Sunday

Sunday began with children giving their hand-made cards to their mums. Mothers were pleased with the beautiful designs created by their artistic sons or daughters.
Mrs Bell and Mrs Hunter gave David a card to say 'THANK YOU' for all his hard work towards making the weekend so successful. They did not stay for the workshops this morning as they had to go and see their own children for Mother's Day.

Today's sessions were making musical instruments and then playing them with the help of Mrs Pearson, Wil's mum who is one of the Year 1 teachers at William Shrewsbury School. As a KS1 music subject leader, she was very happy to help the children to become creative with music.

My Mum liked the pop up card that I made. When we made the instruments we all had fun. I made a pair of shakers. One of them had an elastic band to pluck.
I was excited when my Dad and sister Shaan arrived.
My Dad & Shaan enjoyed playing the instruments. Dad broke the rainshaker and the rice was coming out.
I've had a really fun & exciting time over the weekend.

Hi, I would just like to say thanks to Mrs Bell and Mrs Hunter for organising such a lovely weekend. James and me had loads of fun, and we especially enjoyed the number trail and the story writing. Pendrell Hall itself was lovely and I think we have all come away a little heavier than we were, due to the never ending supply of food! Having said that, the food was gorgeous. It was nice to make new friends and round off the evening with a glass or two of wine and relax!

I really enjoyed the weekend, especially the story writing, number hunt and nature trail.
The food was really nice and I liked it when my sister and dad joined us on Sunday morning.
My mum enjoyed meeting new people and making some new friends.
Thank you to Mrs Bell and Mrs Hunter for making it possible and to Pendrell Hall for a fantastic venue.

My mum enjoyed getting her Mothers day card.
I was happy when I gave it to her, she gave me a big hug.
I was missing my dad and sister, but I was glad to see them when they came for lunch.

My mum loved the pop up card i made. She hugged me tightly When she saw it. When we made the instruments i had a lot of fun. I made a guitar with my mum and a rain maker with purple and red on it, me and my mum used a sponge to paint the rain maker. It reminded me of Spongebob!!!
