William Shrewsbury Primary School is one of the largest primary schools in Staffordshire with over 650 pupils. There are 21 classes plus a nursery. The three form entry means that we have around 90 pupils per year group.

New head teacher
Hello to my ex-pupils! Hope everything is going well. I met your new head teacher, Mr Allen when he came to vist me and the staff and pupils of Richard Wakefield. He seems a fair head wanting the best for his pupils.

On August 31st 2014, I took retirement from headship. However, my passion for quality education remains and I am therefore working as an Educational consultant. I am sub-contracted to work for SFA ( Success for All). In this role I support primary school education by working closely with school leaders and training staff.
